Willow Smith Whip My Hair Official Music Video

well!!! this is my last blog for English, however, it is my last blog. this video is one of my favorites. willow Smith did such a great job singing and dancing to her great hit song "whip my hair." how did she do it????? that girl is like 9 years old and she has it going on :))) i like that fact that she has different styles of hair in this video and she is just whipping it. Oh yeess!! those fake weaves are getting it. the video is colorful, playful, vivacious, etc... the fact that it takes place at a school makes it even better because it attracts more kids to watch it. the dancers were really into the dance and when Willow her self started dancing and stomping, wow, i was amazing with what she could do. i liked and enjoyed watching every bit of the video.. it was amazing. every time i have my fake braids in my hair, i just love to "whip my hair" every second i have to spare :p. it is really fun to do. Although, it will hurt the neck a little. but, it doesn't matter to me. i whip my hair back and forth all the time. i mean, my weaves :)

I Just Want To Be Me

       
                                                        This is Fruits Baskets, one of my favorite Anime. I have recently started watching it with my friend Amanda. Than I fell in love with it. The story is about a girl named Tohru that is living in a tent after her mother passed way in a car accident. One day she decided to take a visit to a house that is near the space she camp and met a man called shigure Sohma who is the cousin of one of the most popular guy in school, Yuki Sohma and a trouble maker, Kyo Sohma. When They Find out that Tohru was living in a poor condition, they asker to stay at their house in return she had to do the choice. She was more than happy to. While living with them, she found out that the Sohma family has been cursed with the Chinese zodiac sign. Each of the members are one of the animal from the zodiac. Shigure is a dog, Yuki Is a mouse, and Kyo is a cat. They change to the animal anytime a girl hugs them. Tohru keeps their secret and they became fond of her. She falls in love with Kyo and her quest in the story is to find a way to break the curse.
I love it so much because it is a love story and it is funny. There are 23 books and I have read most of all. I cant wait to finish it.

Schlangenfrau - snake woman

Okay!!!! This is just freaky to me. How does a person make their body move like a snake??It looks so weird and painful to me. I can’t imagine how much training that girl had to go through in order to make her body so flexible. That girl is from Africa. Her leaving is to show the audience what she can do with her body. I guess some people were born with that ability. She looks like she doesn’t have any bones in her body at all.
The first time I watch this video, it was with my mom. I can say she that she was so amazed with each move that girl did. It was weird because I was grossed out by it while my mom found entertainment in watching it. The way that the girl easily moves her bodies in different direction just look so wrong to me. I wonder if she never gets injured from it. But she isn’t the only one in the world that can do it though. There are many other people that do the same show and that are more flexible than her. She isn’t the girl that set the record for most flexible body.
I think this is a freak show. However, she makes a lot of money for it since a lot of people are willing to pay to come see her. Although I was grossed out by it, I know I would be one of those people to give my money to see her or someone with her ability.

Boukman Eksperyans - Imamou Lele

This is one of my favorite videos. It is the one that I dance to at the talent show last Friday. The video is short but it was a success in Haiti when it came out. The song is about how Haiti is wasting. She is wasting her land, her men, her women, her children, and her God. The term “Imamou” is an old African word that the slaves came with when they arrived in Haiti. Honestly I don’t know what it means because it is the only word that isn’t in Creole. However, I know it has something to do with the fact that Haiti is becoming a mess.
Yes, most of the songs and videos that are made in Haiti talks about how the nations have destroyed its land. We have trash everywhere, no food for the majority of the people, no electricity in most places. The country is a waste. And the people aren’t doing anything to fix it either. They are just going along with what they are given; which is nothing.
I like those kinds of videos from my country. They have good beats and rhythms that I can dance to. It is a good entertainment method in my family. Being away from the country, we find comfort on listening and watching those videos. They remind us of the good old days.

Boukman Eksperyans - Ti Pa Ti Pa - (1804live.com)

Boukman Eksperyans is a band in Haiti that was created to show the people the ways that the country is being destroyed by its own people. Every songs and videos the this group of people makes always describe how Haiti was the first black Country to be free from slavery. But, it didn't make any good because we are destroying ourselves. There was not point of fighting for so long when it wasn't worth suffering after gaining our independence.
I like to listen to Bookman because the beat is great and the words are deep. Throughout the song, the lead singer is saying all the little steps that Haitians has made in order to make Haiti miserable, poor, and bloody. There are so many men that are trying to take over the country. They tell us what we want to hear in order for us to let them rule. They tell us that they will bring more safety, give us more food, and bring us happiness. Yeah right!!!!! Those people are as selfish as a dog with a bone in his mouth. They want the money. That’s all they’ve always wanted. That’s always the case with every leaders of Haiti. They want the money, and the fame for being the president. After that, they just run. Well, I think its clever what they do because Haitians never learn. They will continue with the same routine of electing the person that sweet talks them into giving him the country.
Bookman sees it all the time. That is why the group always sing and make video about it. But the Haitian People only listen to the beat and ignore the words.

Steve Brunache La relèv

 This video is an old video form my country Haiti. I have seen, danced, listen to it for as long i as could remember. The song is about Haitian men leaving the country in order to come to America. They are leaving their wives, children, and duties in order to go to an outside world. In one part of the chorus it says " Fre'm yo ou ale, Simby nan dlo. Fre'm yo wa ale, Ginen nan bwa." this phrase is saying that his brothers are leaving like the mystical mermaid in the water, or the dark shadow in the woods. As Haitian, we don't want our brothers to leave our land. We have plantations to do,animals to feed, and houses to protect. We know it is a better decision to be in America, but if all of our brothers leave, who will help us plant? who will helps feed? who will help us protect? This what the video and the song are saying.
This song makes me thing that the writer was somewhat discriminating against women. throughout the song, the men is sing about Haitian brothers leaving the country. But, what about the sisters. It feels like, without the brothers, no work will get done. The animals and the plants will die, and the houses will be unsecured. Well, women can take of business too. we can do as much work as a men in society. so why does this song refers only to men? 

Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are [Official Video]

The video"just the way you are" by Bruno Mars, is one of the video that i enjoy watching ang listening to. He is, throughout the video, saying that the girl is beautiful for just being herself. She doesn't have to change her appearance to make a man like her. She doesn't have to put on make up in order to look beautiful. She doesn't have to starve herself to lose weight in order to look sexy. Bruno, in this video, is just telling her not to be self-concious. The way she is right is perfect to him.
This video applies to every girls that feel that they are not beautiful, sexy, or good enough for a man to look or like them. They have to know  that their appearance is a minor problem compare to what's on the inside. Girls these days need to feel secure with how they look like. I know we always find something wrong with our body. But we have to know that we are still beautiful no matter what. And, we will all find that one guy that will tell us so just like Bruno Mars. We shouldn't give up and start hating on our appearance just because that one man hasn't appeared yet.
